Tracy’s 40th Birthday Photo Session

40th Birthday Photo Session

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate turning 40 than with a colorful photo session like this.

During the lockdown, my cousin Tracy would jokingly send me pictures of herself wearing the most amazing outfits that she would assemble to cope with the times. Using a mix of her own eclectic style and some oddball pieces from my late grandmother, a real persona was born and I had to capture it.

This week we acted these silly back and forth text messages and threw together a 40th birthday photoshoot at the abandoned mills in town. Tracy also began roller skating during the lockdown, so she tested her skills on the uneven pavement at the shoot.

We had tons of fun, and of course, being cousins and friends, there was a ton of laugh till you cry / pee your pants moments.

Thanks for getting silly with me and for falling really hard on your roller skates into a pile of broken glass. Happy 40th Birthday Tracy, I LOVE YOU :)
