Camilla + Isla | Somers, CT Newborn Photography Session

I have been dropping in on Kayla and Joey’s life for big moments like this since they were married in 2022 at the beautiful Stonehurst at Hampton Valley in Hampton, Connecticut.

In January, we spent a snowy afternoon taking maternity photos and just a few months later, Joey sent me a text to let me know that their twin girls had been born.

Twins weren't in the cards for them, making the news a delightful yet overwhelming surprise.

Now please excuse me while I say something that is incredibly obvious about this situation.

One baby is a lot.

But, two babies?

Yes, that’s a lot too.

Watching Kayla and Joey navigate the whirlwind of twin parenthood was nothing short of impressive. As one baby drifted off to sleep, the other would inevitably wake, creating a perpetual cycle of activity.

“Welcome to our zoo!” Kayla said with a smile.

It is such a gift to photograph these couples on their wedding day and then follow them on their journey into parenthood. I am ever grateful for that priceless part of my job.

Congrats to this sweet family and a big thank you for sharing so many important moments with me.
