Skatepark hangs with Jill + Nate

Skateparks have this magnetic energy. The scuffed ramps and rails, battered and scarred from years of action are a testament to everyone who’s ever skated there and every tag, every streak of paint tells a piece of the park’s story.

On this blistering summer day, the three of us rolled into a beat-up skatepark, its graffiti-covered ramps and walls screaming for some serious renovation. The heat was oppressive, making us question our sanity as we tried to make the most of it. We lasted about 20 minutes before seeking refuge in our air-conditioned cars.

It was a brutal day for a couples session, but totally worth it for these two excellent people. I’m always grateful for clients who are down to brave the elements and get creative with me.
