Jake and Lainey’s Vermont Wedding

Jake and Lainey left the Bay Area of California and returned to Vermont, where Lainey grew up, to begin this next chapter of their lives.

Last summer, they hosted one of the sweetest weekend wedding celebrations, exchanging vows on Lainey’s family property. The land stretched out toward the Green Mountains, a lush backdrop for their ceremony. It had rained a bunch leading into their wedding day and the air was thick with humidity. It may have been one of the hottest weddings I’ve ever photographed.

There was wood-fired pizza, barn dancing, and lawn games scattered across the meadow. As the night wound down, guests gathered in the meadow to catch some fireworks.

Jake and Lainey wanted their wedding captured as it truly was, candid and unfiltered. They were looking for a photographer who could document not just the big moments, but the quiet ones too. I was so glad they chose me to be the one to do it. This was a really special one and I wish them the best.
